Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PAX2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher PAX2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PAX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where PAX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
