Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAWR Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PAWR data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PAWR Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PAWR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, READ, and SKCM are the cancer types where PAWR Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
