Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAICS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PAICS data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PAICS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PAICS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, COAD, and READ are the cancer types where PAICS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
