Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAICS mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PAICS data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PAICS mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PAICS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where PAICS mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
