Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, P2RX6P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of P2RX6P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where P2RX6P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types P2RX6P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and HNSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, HNSC, and COAD are the cancer types where P2RX6P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
