Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8Q1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR8Q1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where OR8Q1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR8Q1P is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where OR8Q1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
