Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7E157P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7E157P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR7E157P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7E157P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and CHOL are the cancer types where OR7E157P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
