Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR7A1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR7A1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where OR7A1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR7A1P is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where OR7A1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
