Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR56B2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR56B2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where OR56B2P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR56B2P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUSC, UCEC, and BRCA are the cancer types where OR56B2P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
