Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4K11P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR4K11P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR4K11P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR4K11P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, PRAD, and STAD are the cancer types where OR4K11P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
