Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4E2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OR4E2 data layer compared with 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher OR4E2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR4E2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC show a favorable association.
SKCM and LUSC are the cancer types where OR4E2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
