Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2Q1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2Q1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR2Q1P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2Q1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC are the cancer types where OR2Q1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
