Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2L6P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2L6P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where OR2L6P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2L6P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, BRCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where OR2L6P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
