Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2A42 RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR2A42 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher OR2A42 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR2A42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and SARC show a favorable association.
LIHC, PAAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where OR2A42 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
