Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR1D4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR1D4 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher OR1D4 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR1D4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.

BLCA, HNSC, and KICH are the cancer types where OR1D4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
