Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR13D3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR13D3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR13D3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR13D3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC and BRCA are the cancer types where OR13D3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
