Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR10AH1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR10AH1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where OR10AH1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR10AH1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, BRCA, and THCA are the cancer types where OR10AH1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
