Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NWD1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NWD1 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NWD1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NWD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and COAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where NWD1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
