Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NUMB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NUMB data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NUMB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NUMB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where NUMB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
