Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NSDHL RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NSDHL data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NSDHL RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NSDHL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRC, and SCLC are the cancer types where NSDHL RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
