Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPY2R RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NPY2R’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where NPY2R RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NPY2R is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, KIRC, and READ are the cancer types where NPY2R tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
