Across TCGA patient cohorts, NPY protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 5,400 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NPY-associated genes across cancer lineages are ECRG4, VIPR2, and TSPAN7. Each is linked with NPY in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NPY-to-partner and partner-to-NPY results are reported.
