Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPTX2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPTX2 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NPTX2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPTX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and DLBC show a favorable association.
KIRP, UVM, and UCEC are the cancer types where NPTX2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
