Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPPB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NPPB data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher NPPB Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPPB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, OV, and UCEC are the cancer types where NPPB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
