Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPL RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPL data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher NPL RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and LUSC show a favorable association.

CESC, LGG, and ACC are the cancer types where NPL RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
