Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPIPB9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPIPB9 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher NPIPB9 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPIPB9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and LGG show a favorable association.

KIRC, ACC, and COAD are the cancer types where NPIPB9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
