Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPC2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPC2 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher NPC2 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as THCA and BRCA show a favorable association.
THCA, BRCA, and READ are the cancer types where NPC2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
