Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NOSTRIN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NOSTRIN data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NOSTRIN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NOSTRIN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where NOSTRIN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
