Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX6-3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NKX6-3 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher NKX6-3 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX6-3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and ESCA show a favorable association.
LGG, UVM, and ESCA are the cancer types where NKX6-3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
