Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX6-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NKX6-1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher NKX6-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX6-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and BRCA show a favorable association.

UVM, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where NKX6-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
