Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX6-1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NKX6-1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NKX6-1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX6-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

HNSC, LUSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NKX6-1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
