Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX2-3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NKX2-3 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher NKX2-3 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX2-3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCS show a favorable association.
BRCA, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where NKX2-3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
