Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKD1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NKD1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NKD1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SCLC show a favorable association.
KIRP, UCS, and ACC are the cancer types where NKD1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
