Across TCGA patient cohorts, NHS protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,079 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NHS-associated genes across cancer lineages are CHP1P3, NHS-AS1, and MIR4768. Each is linked with NHS in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NHS-to-partner and partner-to-NHS results are reported.
