Across TCGA patient cohorts, NF2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,862 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NF2-associated genes across cancer lineages are ARFGAP3, CYB5R3, and MEOX2. Each is linked with NF2 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NF2-to-partner and partner-to-NF2 results are reported.
