Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEXMIF RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NEXMIF’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where NEXMIF RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NEXMIF is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, COAD, and KICH are the cancer types where NEXMIF tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
