Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEU2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NEU2 data layer compared with 16 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher NEU2 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEU2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM, KIRC, and MESO are the cancer types where NEU2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
