Across TCGA patient cohorts, NEU1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,682 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NEU1-associated genes across cancer lineages are THG1L, RPN2, and PDIA4. Each is linked with NEU1 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NEU1-to-partner and partner-to-NEU1 results are reported.
