Across TCGA cell cohorts, NEFM RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 1,496 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NEFM-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Neurofilament bundle assembly, Postsynaptic intermediate filament cytoskeleton organization, and Positive regulation of telomere maintenance via telomere lengthening. Each is linked with NEFM in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NEFM-to-partner and partner-to-NEFM results are reported.
