Across TCGA patient cohorts, NEFH mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 21 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NEFH-associated genes across cancer lineages are Rictor_pT1135, JNK_pT183_Y185, and MEK1. Each is linked with NEFH in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NEFH-to-partner and partner-to-NEFH results are reported.
