Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NEDD4L RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NEDD4L data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher NEDD4L RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NEDD4L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and READ show a favorable association.
KIRC, READ, and UCS are the cancer types where NEDD4L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
