Across TCGA patient cohorts, NAXE protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 17,563 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NAXE-associated genes across cancer lineages are PIGM, NCF2, and BCL2A1. Each is linked with NAXE in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NAXE-to-partner and partner-to-NAXE results are reported.
