Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MZT2B RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MZT2B data layer compared with 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MZT2B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MZT2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and BRCA show a favorable association.
KIRP, LIHC, and ACC are the cancer types where MZT2B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
