MZT2B

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MZT2B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MZT2B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where MZT2B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MZT2B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and HNSC are the cancer types where MZT2B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
