Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYL12B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MYL12B data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MYL12B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYL12B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LSCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, CCRCC, and LSCC are the cancer types where MYL12B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
