Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MYH7B RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MYH7B data layer compared with 8 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MYH7B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MYH7B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and HNSC show a favorable association.
COAD, ACC, and STAD are the cancer types where MYH7B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
