Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MXD4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MXD4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MXD4 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MXD4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and GBM show a favorable association.
LUAD, LSCC, and GBM are the cancer types where MXD4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
