Across TCGA patient cohorts, MUC16 mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 16,278 significant associations in total. STAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MUC16-associated genes across cancer lineages are LIMS2, PBK, and TIMM44. Each is linked with MUC16 in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MUC16-to-partner and partner-to-MUC16 results are reported.
