Across TCGA patient cohorts, MUC16 mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 146 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MUC16-associated genes across cancer lineages are Caspase-7-cleavedD198, Caveolin-1, and Cyclin-B1. Each is linked with MUC16 in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MUC16-to-partner and partner-to-MUC16 results are reported.
