Across TCGA patient cohorts, MUC15 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,505 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MUC15-associated genes across cancer lineages are APBA1, DISC1, and TLE4. Each is linked with MUC15 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MUC15-to-partner and partner-to-MUC15 results are reported.
